Helping Children of Family Members KIA
Virginia Beach, VA, September 2011 -- The Hartwell Foundation
today provided $125,000 in funding to the Navy SEAL Foundation,
who will distribute $5000 to each child of the families of the
US Naval Special Warfare community
who suffered a devastating loss on August 6, 2011, when
17 Navy SEALs from Team 6 and five support personnel were among 30
Americans who died when their helicopter was shot down by insurgents in Afghanistan.
The Hartwell Foundation continues to provide economic assistance to the Navy
SEAL Foundation, which provides critical family support services and tragedy
assistance for our servicemen and women.
