The Hartwell Center - St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital
The Hartwell Center is a unique biomedical resource
of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital located in
Memphis, TN. The Center serves to integrate available
high-throughput biotechnology and bioinformatics with
academic programs, providing scientists with
state-of-the-art tools for discovery. Three divisions
make up the Hartwell Center:

Bioinformatics-Research
Computing, including high-performance computing
and bioinformatics support

Biotechnology, including
high-throughput DNA sequencing, genotyping, and
macromolecular synthesis, including DNA microarray,
proteomics and molecular interaction analyses

Molecular Biotechnology,
which conducts applied research to ensure the
ongoing excellence of the Center’s service
components
Established in 1999, the Mission of the Hartwell
Center is to be the best in applying modern
bioinformatics and biotechnology to the study and
treatment of pediatric catastrophic diseases.
